There’s not many monthly parking options for Newtown commuters. The Inner West City council does offer parking permits to residents and local businesses, but you do need to meet their requirements and the space isn’t reserved for you. There is one council operated car park in Newtown, Lennox Street Car Park, but it’s only suitable for short-term stays. The Lennox St Car Park, run by the Inner West City Council, allows you to park for 2 hours with a paid ticket from 8am to 10pm 7 days a week. It costs $2.40 per hour so it’s an ideal option for short-term stays. Unfortunately, you can’t pre book online so it’s a bit of luck as to whether there'll be a space available.
